Crossmart vs Sellbrite

Sellbrite, a GoDaddy brand, is a long-running multichannel listing and inventory tool for US marketplaces, priced by orders. Crossmart is an open-source listing platform priced by active listings, with AI agents built in. Here is how to decide between them.

The short answer

Sellbrite supports more marketplaces today, including Amazon with FBA, Walmart and Etsy, and its free plan suits a seller with a few orders a month. Crossmart supports Shopify and eBay now, with more channels on the way, and adds things Sellbrite does not advertise: open-source code, AI listing suggestions you approve, and an MCP server so your AI agent can do the work.

The pricing models point in different directions. Sellbrite charges by orders, so a large catalog with few sales is cheap and a busy month moves you up a tier. Crossmart charges by active listings and never by orders, so growth in sales costs you nothing extra.

What Sellbrite is

Sellbrite describes itself as "the easiest way for brands & retailers to list and sell their products" across marketplaces (Sellbrite). It is a GoDaddy brand; GoDaddy bought it in 2019 (TechCrunch). Its help center says it is designed for brands and retailers that sell physical products on several online marketplaces (What is Sellbrite?).

It lists to Amazon, eBay, Etsy, Walmart, Google Shopping, Sears and Newegg, connects Shopify, BigCommerce and WooCommerce stores, and works with shipping and warehouse services such as ShipStation, USPS and Fulfillment by Amazon (integrations).

What Crossmart is

Crossmart is an open-source (AGPL-3.0) multichannel listing platform for sellers and their AI agents. You keep one master catalog, add products to each store, and Crossmart publishes them, keeps price and stock in step and brings the orders back. Shopify and eBay are live, Google Shopping and Etsy are coming soon, and Amazon, Walmart and TikTok Shop are planned.

Each store can have its own price and title through per-channel overrides. AI suggests listing content and category mappings, and nothing changes until you approve it. A channel map shows where each product is live and, when a listing fails, what the channel asked for. The dashboard, a REST API, an MCP server, SDKs for TypeScript, Python and PHP, webhooks and an n8n node all work on the same data. You can use Crossmart Cloud or run it on your own servers for free.

Key differences

Pricing

Sellbrite's plans are priced by orders per month, with unlimited SKUs, channels and users. A free plan covers up to 30 orders a month, and paid plans start at $29 a month for up to 100 orders, billed yearly, with Amazon FBA orders not counted. New accounts get 14 days of full access without a card (Sellbrite pricing).

Crossmart Cloud is priced by active listings, where one product live in one store counts as one. Starter is $29, Pro is $59, Growth is $129 and Scale is $299 a month, annual billing saves about 20%, and Enterprise starts at $999 a month. Every plan starts with a 7-day trial and includes every channel, the API, MCP and the SDKs, with no fee on your sales. Self-hosting is free. See Crossmart pricing.

Channels

Sellbrite covers the main US marketplaces and Google Shopping today (integrations). Crossmart publishes to Shopify and eBay, with Google Shopping and Etsy coming soon and Amazon, Walmart and TikTok Shop planned. If Amazon or Walmart is where most of your sales are, Sellbrite supports them now and Crossmart does not yet.

AI and agents

We found no AI listing features and no MCP server on Sellbrite's website or help center.

Crossmart was built to be run by agents as well as people. Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Cursor, OpenClaw and other MCP clients sign in with OAuth, get only the access you approve, and any AI content they ask for arrives as a suggestion for a person to approve. See AI agents for multichannel selling.

Open source and API

Sellbrite is a hosted service with a REST API for developers (Sellbrite API). Crossmart's code is licensed under AGPL-3.0 and can be self-hosted, and it ships a REST API, webhooks, SDKs for TypeScript, Python and PHP, and an n8n node.

Inventory and orders

Sellbrite syncs inventory to prevent overselling, every 15 minutes on paid plans and every two hours on the free plan. It also handles order shipping with discounted labels and can route orders to Fulfillment by Amazon (Sellbrite, pricing).

In Crossmart, stock and orders are part of every plan. An order from any store holds its units at once, every other store gets the lower quantity, and every 15 minutes Crossmart compares what each channel shows with its own count and corrects any drift (how stock sync works).

When to choose Sellbrite instead

  • You sell on Amazon, Walmart, Etsy, Sears or Newegg today.
  • You use Fulfillment by Amazon and want other channels’ orders routed to it.
  • You want to buy shipping labels in the same tool.
  • You have a large catalog but few orders, so order-based pricing costs less.

When Crossmart is the better fit

  • You sell on Shopify and eBay and want prices and titles set per store.
  • You want pricing that never rises with your sales.
  • You want AI suggestions for listings, and agents that work through MCP with your approval.
  • You want to self-host, or to build on open-source code.
