Privacy Policy
Last updated November 4, 2026
This policy explains how Crossmart (a Delaware limited liability company) (“Crossmart”, “we”, “us”) handles personal information on crossmart.io and in the Crossmart service. We collect as little as we can, use it only to run Crossmart, and never sell it.
What we collect
- Waitlist and contact details. When you join the waitlist or write to us, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to tell us, such as your business type and the channels you sell on.
- Account information. When the service opens, we will store your name, email address, organization and workspace settings.
- Marketplace data you connect. When you connect a store or marketplace, you authorize Crossmart to access the data needed to manage your listings: products, inventory, prices, listing status and orders.
- Technical data. Our hosting providers keep standard server logs (IP address, browser, pages requested) for security and reliability. This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies.
How we use it
- To provide the service: publish and update your listings, sync inventory and orders.
- To run AI features you use, such as drafting listings and suggesting fixes.
- To contact you about the waitlist, your account and important changes.
- To keep Crossmart secure and to meet legal obligations.
We do not sell personal information and do not use your data to advertise to you.
Marketplace and buyer data
Data obtained from marketplaces such as Amazon, eBay, Etsy, Shopify and Google is used only to provide Crossmart to the seller who authorized it, in line with each marketplace’s developer policies. Access tokens and credentials are encrypted.
Orders. From each order we read only what we need to keep your stock right across your stores and to report your sales: the order number, its date and status, its items with their SKUs, quantities and prices, and its total. We do not read or store buyers’ names, email addresses, phone numbers or addresses. We use order data only to reserve and release stock, keep your other stores’ quantities up to date, and show your orders and sales to you.
AI processing
AI features send the product information they need (titles, descriptions, attributes, images) to AI model providers that process it on our behalf. We do not send buyer personal information to AI providers. If you bring your own AI key, your data is processed under your agreement with that provider.
Who we share it with
We share data only with service providers that help us run Crossmart, such as hosting, email and AI model providers, under contracts that limit their use of it; with the marketplaces you connect, as needed to perform the actions you request; and when required by law.
Retention
We keep account and marketplace data while your account is active. Orders that have shipped or were cancelled are deleted two years after they were placed; open orders are kept while they hold stock. When you uninstall Crossmart from a store, we delete that store’s orders and listing data as soon as the marketplace asks us to (for Shopify, 48 hours after uninstalling). When you close your account, we delete the related data within 30 days, except where the law requires us to keep it longer. Waitlist details are deleted on request.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, credentials are encrypted at the application level, and access is limited to the people who need it to run the service.
Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct, export or delete your personal information, or object to how we use it. Depending on where you live, laws such as the GDPR and the CCPA give you these rights. Write to privacy@crossmart.io and we will respond within 30 days.
Changes
We will post changes on this page and update the date above. If a change is significant, we will tell account holders by email.
